Advanced Auto Parts title sponsor for COTA WeatherTech weekend

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) announced that Advanced Auto Parts will be the title sponsor for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race weekend. Advanced Auto Parts has entered into a multi-year agreement with Circuit of The Americas.

The official event name is the Advance Auto Parts Sportscar Showdown which will take place on May 5-6. This will be the first time the International Motor Sports Association will be featured as a stand-alone race weekend format at Circuit of The Americas.

"We are absolutely delighted to play host to the first stand-alone IMSA race weekend here at Circuit of The Americas this coming May. Furthermore, Advance Auto Parts is the perfect choice to serve as the title sponsor of our signature sports car event," stated Circuit of The Americas Chairman, Bobby Epstein. "Advance Auto Parts serves millions of customers in thousands of stores across the country every year and, just like Circuit of The Americas, shares our dedication and commitment to providing the best possible experience to customers. We are incredibly excited to launch this partnership today and look forward to welcoming all race fans to our IMSA sports car weekend in May.”

Advance Auto Parts, Inc., a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, operates more than 5,000 stores across the country including more than 250 in Texas.

“We are thrilled to partner with Circuit of The Americas and be part of such a globally-renowned circuit,” said Advance Auto Parts Marketing and Sponsorships Manager Matt Davis. “COTA is one of the top racing facilities, not only in the U.S., but the world and we couldn’t be more excited to be the official auto parts and entitlement sponsor of the Advance Auto Parts Sportscar Showdown."

In addition to the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event IMSA’s Porsche GT3 Cup, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge will also take place that weekend.

Two-day weekend passes, with access to open seating on Turn 1, Turn 15 and the Main Grand Stand, along with Paddock access, are available for only $79. Individual passes for Friday are $49 and $59 for Sunday. Car corral packages are also available and more information can be found at www.circuitoftheamericas.com.
