Pirelli World Challenge, next stop Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

The Pirelli World Challenge moves to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, 2.458-mile, 10-turn road circuit northeast of Toronto, this weekend, May19-21, as part of the Victoria Day Speedfest.

The new SprintX series headlines the weekend with a doubleheader. A total of 32 SprintX driver combinations will battle in two 60-minute, two-driver, one pit stop races.

Along with the 32 SprintX entries, 49 Touring Car drivers are entered in two 40-minute sprint events on Saturday and Sunday including the TC division which features auto makes like Audi, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Lotus, Mazda, Nissan and Porsche.

The GTS division includes Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, Aston Martin, Panoz Averrano GT and Maserati taking on GT4 sports cars of KTM XBow, SIN Car R1 GT4, Porsche Cayman and McLaren.

10:35 AM – 11:25 AM Pirelli World Challenge – GTS Race 1 (50 minutes)
1:45 PM – 2:45 PM Pirelli World Challenge – SprintX Race 1 (60 minutes)

Sunday, April 30, 2017
8:30 AM – 9:10 AM Pirelli World Challenge – Touring Car Race 2 (40 minutes)
10:15 AM – 11:04 AM Pirelli World Challenge – GTS Race 2 (50 minutes)
3:40 PM – 4:40 PM Pirelli World Challenge – SprintX Race 2 (60 minutes)

All of the races at CTMP will be live streamed on www.motortrendondemand.com and www.world-challenge.com, and six feature races (SprintX, GTS and TC) will be shown on CBS Sports Network in late May on a taped-delayed basis.
